About PaddyPower

Short Description : For overseas bettors, PaddyPower is one of the cleanest sites on the net. The links are well organized, making it easy to find lines and the page is always fast and reliable. Although accounts are not open to US residents, there are American sports lines in case you want to get some NFL or NBA action along with your rugby and cricket. PaddyPower Professional Review

By Kris Takahashi

The Look

Very clean site. There's a lot going on, but everything is neatly organized and easy to find. Too many sites have flashing ads and promotions going on that it make it difficult to browse, but not PaddyPower. The most ingenious aspect of the site is the quick drop down menu that takes you straight to the bet you want. No going through sport type, clicking on the game line or bothersome refresh buttons. Just drop down and click.

Deposits/Withdrawals

There are numerous ways to deposit funds into your PaddyPower account and they are constantly trying to implement new and improved ways of doing so. Currently you can deposit funds using Credit cards, Debit cards, Bank Transfer, Cheques and An Post Billpay. Depending on your account type (cheque, credit card, debit card, bank transfers), there are different types of withdrawal methods available.

See all that information up there? I copied and pasted that.

Wagering

Despite having NFL and NBA lines, PaddyPower is first and foremost a European sports site. Soccer, racing, cricket and rugby are the sports of choice. If you're looking for action bets, if bets and more involved teasers, you may want to try a different sportsbook. PaddyPower caters to the casual or straight bettor. Navigationally it's perfect for those clients.

Bonuses and Extras

Novelty bets are always exciting, and on PaddyPower you can bet on the chance of snow in Europe on Christmas day. Will it snow in Dublin? 6 to 1. Manchester, 12 to 1. Will there be a man on Mars by the end of the decade? 25 to 1. I'm waiting for the Britney Spears posing for Playboy prop, since I'm absolutely certain it will happen within the next five to ten years. That is, of course, if the sex tape doesn't come out first.

Customer Service

Based primarily in Ireland, they have phone lines for both Irish and UK residents. You can also take advantage of an online troubleshooting guide or try to reach them via email and an international line. Unfortunately, they are not 24 hour lines, but are usually up until midnight. Which makes sense, because most people in Ireland are out drinking by ten anyways. You're saying that's too stereotypical? Show me an Irish man who doesn't drink, and I'll show you a man who's too drunk to know he's Irish.

Player Reviews/Forums

There's no real mention of PaddyPower on the forums, primarily because it's concentrated in Europe - just like Mussolini, the Pope and hairy armpits.

Verdict

I give it the Keira Knightley award. She's an up and coming actress from the UK, but not doing a thousand movies a week. She has good performances and looks good. PaddyPower is the same way. It looks clean and is easy to navigate, but it doesn't try to extend itself past the standard bets. All in all a good site for the straight betting European.
